Spring Fever!!!

It's springtime on the Plains and all of Alpha Gam is anxiously awaiting consistent warm weather! Weather changes daily in Auburn. I wore shorts two days ago and I had to bundle up this morning! Crazy! We have just completed another Top 5 Miss Auburn campaign and are very proud of our candidate, Katie Parrish of Birmingham, AL. Katie's slogan: All you need is Love, All you need is Auburn, All you need is Katie, reminded us all how proud we are to be Alpha Gam's and Auburn University students! She represented Alpha Gam in a phenomenal way!

We were also proud to have Abby Womack, of Birmingham, AL, represent us as a Top 5 Miss Homecoming candidate in the fall! Alpha Gam is doing amazing things on campus and we are all looking forward to another great semester! From organizations on campus, to community involvement and volunteering, Alpha Gam is shining in a major way!

Rush Is Upon Us

The time is almost here for everyone to join together in our beautiful new chapter room! Just one week from yesterday everything begins! I am very excited and anxious to get things started. As I type, I'm sitting in our gorgeous chapter room admiring the work of James Farmer! He has done a fabulous job decorating this place and I can't wait for all the girls to see his hard work! Rush is my favorite time of year! I love hanging out with my best friends for a week and a half straight! It is a great time for all of us to learn something new about each other! I can't even explain how thrilled I am to add 50+ girls to our chapter in two weeks! I look forward to meeting all the new baby squirrels and loving on them like they've never known! It is going to be one awesome year!!!

Summer Rush

Everything is getting crazy around Auburn! Gammers are moving in to the new dorms in less than a month and construction is not completely finished! Everyone is wondering whether or not things will be ready, but we're all hoping for the completion!

Recruitment officially starts a month from TODAY! The summer has flown by! Hometowns are working hard to find the best of the best from all over! We are looking forward to reuniting in the new chapter room, now located in Magnolia Hall!!! It's exciting that we will be the first pledge classes to use the new facility!

Mary Frances Colley, Recruitment Chair, has spent hours upon hours perfecting this year's recruitment, and Megan Tucker, Property Coordinator, has worked with our contractor and designer to make sure all the necessities are included! Our President Lanier Smith is looking forward to getting a new great group of freshmen girls! Countless other officers and members have put time and effort into making this year's recruitment one of our best!

Here's to a New Year!!!

A New Year and A New Hobby!!! Alpha Gam members at Auburn University have recently decided to start a blog about things that are going on within our chapter to keep our alumnae and friends updated! Our first chapter was held last night and everyone was eager to see each other after the long Christmas Break! Things are off to a great start and we are excited about everything that is in store for us in the coming months!

SGA Elections are fast approaching as we help three candidates prepare for campaign week! Current SGA Sentaor and Junior Katherine Davis will be running for SGA President! The present SGA President Lauren Hayes is also an Alpha Gam. Juniors Mary Frances Colley and Stephanie Rector are both campaigning for Miss Auburn!!! We are very excited for all of our candidates! Elections will be held the second week of February!

Alpha Gam held its first social of the semester this past Tuesday night. The 'Straight A's Social' was held with Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, and Alpha Omicron Pi!! It was a huge success thanks to our new Social Coordinator Anna Eidson! We look forward to many more socials and formals this semester!!!
